Half-folded menu-mailer from the London Chop House at 155 West Congress Street, dated Wednesday, May 1, 1940. An illustration of a chef working over a large bowl, and a message from owner Lester Gruber are printed in orange on the cover. The menu is divided into the sections, "Dinner Specials," "Steaks and Chops," "Sandwiches," "Omlettes," "May We Recommend," "Cheese," "Salads," "Vegetables," "Potatoes," "Desserts," and a wine list. The menu also offers, "a tall sensational Zombi, world's most potent potion (only two to a customer please)." The menu notes that the chef is Eddie Dobler, "the perch king of America," and entertainment is provided by "Tubby" O'Farrell and his Orchestra, and Pura Reyes with Don Rafael's Rhumba Band. The menu is addressed to Michael Jalan at the Seville Hotel.
