Half-folded J.L. Hudson Company Dining Rooms menu, dated February 21, 1950, bearing an illustration by E.E. Anthony of Fort Street Presbyterian Church as viewed from the west on the north side of Fort Street in 1881, in white on green on the cover. A brief passage contrasting the early reputation of Detroiters as drunkards expressed by Elijah Brush, with the growth of its churches, is on the back cover. Within the menu is divided into the sections "Soups and Appetizers," "Shopper's Luncheon One Dollar," "Sandwiches," "Desserts," "Fruits," "Hudson Made Ice Cream and Sundaes," and "Beverages." A note along the bottom of the menu's interior informs, "Detroit's Police Department asks everyone's help in its traffic safety program, "Watch Out For Kids."
