Menu
Half-folded menu from the Cow-Shed at the corner of Clifford Street and Griswold Street. The menu is printed on orange cardstock with the image of a dining room through the open doors of a barn beneath a cartoon of a cow who peeks through the open loft doors. The top of the menu is cut to conform to the roof of the barn pictured. Mixed drinks, wines, champagnes, and other beverages are listed within the menu. The rear of the barn is pictured on the back of the menu. Several signs decorate it including, "Planck for Mayor," "Monteith for Sheriff," referring to the establishment's owners George Planck and Joe Monteith. A timeline of the Cow-Shed's building from its 1858 construction as the fire station for Engine Company No. 3 to the restaurant's opening in 1933 is printed below.
