Menu

Half-folded Hudson's Mezzanine Tearoom menu, dated March 3, 1950, bearing an illustration by E.E. Anthony of the Russell House and the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in copper on the cover. A brief passage about Russell House as well as the proceeding and following hotels on the same site, the National Hotel, and the Pontchartrain Hotel, is on the back cover. Within the menu is divided into the sections "Soups and Appetizers," "A la Carte Suggestions," "Today's Luncheon Eighty-Five Cents," "Sandwiches," "Desserts," "Fruits," "Hudson Made Ice Cream and Sundaes," and "Beverages." The luncheon special has been revised in pen to replace flounder with haddock. A note along the bottom of the menu's interior informs, "Detroit's Police Department asks everyone's help in its traffic safety program, "Watch Out For Kids."
