Luncheon at the London Chop House

Double-sided lunch menu sheet from the London Chop House for Friday, September 11, 1953. Luncheon selections are on the recto, and wines are listed on the verso. The recto's header contains a quote attributed to Shakespeare's Falstaff, while the verso's contains one attributed to Roman playwright Plautus. Notes at the bottom of the verso inform that, "Dinner dancing starts at 9:30 p.m.," "Late supper after the theatre," and "Federal 20% tax added after 9:30 P.M."
