The Sanders Menu, Vol. 2, No. 15

Half-folded Sanders menu dated Friday, August 10, 1945. The exterior is printed with the article, "Belle Isle--Detroit's Jewel," about the island and its history including it as a destination of dueling, the changes in ownership of the island, its names and nicknames, the 1915 Belle Isle Bridge fire, the island's claim to having the first ever short wave police radio station, and seasonal activities. Breakfast, luncheon, supper, and dessert items are listed within. A card stapled near the upper left corner of the interior lists, "Beef Pie in Casserole, Roll 45¢."
