The Sanders Menu, Vol. 2, No. 2
Half-folded Sanders menu dated Thursday, February 1, 1945. The exterior is printed the article, "Through the Years with Sanders," concerning the history of the company, highlighting its moves along Woodward Avenue, its popularity during the 25th National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic in 1891, the habit of the Detroit Newsboys' Band to perform in front of the store, the company's presence at the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago, and the Sanders wagon on Belle Isle. An advertisement for War Bonds is also on the back cover. Breakfast, luncheon, supper, and dessert items are listed within. A card listing "Spanish Rice with Cheese in Casserole, Roll 30¢," is stapled to the upper right corner of the interior of one copy.
