The exterior is printed with the article, "In the Good Old Days," about life Detroit in the first few decades of Sanders' existence, including phone operators, city lights operating according to the moonlight forecast as provided by almanacs, Belle Isle, the stove industry and the World's Largest Stove, baking practices, and the construction of Grand Boulevard.
