Handwritten requisition for articles of clothing from Anthony Wayne to the superintendent of the clothing department, issued on June 22nd, 1793.
The text of the requisition is as follows:
"The Superintendent of the Clothing Department will issue for the use of a detachment of Capt. Cranford's Company of Rifle Men the following articles of clothing viz
Pairs Shoes - 17
Shirts - 17
Pairs linen overalls - 17"
The text on the lower left reads: "Headquarters Hobson's Choice June 22, 1793"
The text on the lower right reads" "Campbell Smith Ensign & Paymaster 4th Sub Legion" followed by a signature from Anthony Wayne.
Text on the verso reads:
"Mr. Smith's -
For Cloathing [sic] for
4th Sub Legion
June 22nd, 1793
No. 3"
