Pamphlet

Red, white, and blue campaign pamphlet for the lection of Fred M. Alger to Michigan's governor on the Republican ticket. Text on the front reads "IF / YOU / LIKE / IKE / MAKE A STRIKE / for / FRED M. ALGER / too! / Cadidate / for / MICHIGAN GOVERNOR." The top portion is red, while the bottom portion is blue. There is a white stripe across the center separating the two halves. The text at the top sits within a downward facing arrow. There are two images of men from the neck up, the one at the top being Presidential candidate Dwight D. "Ike" Eisenhower and the bottom one being Fred M. Alger. Within are images and blurbs of the Republican cadidates for Wayne County for the election. There are nine of them: James M. McNally, William A. Lau, James McNamara, Edward Behrendt, Bernard W. Nagel, Dr. Lloyd K. Babcock, Thomas H. Cotter, Archie Leadbetter, and Dr. Albert L. French. The last inner page is a call to vote for Fred M. Alger and other Republicans. There is a pink page inserted into the pamphlet with a list of the Republican cadidates. The back is red, white, and blue. In a circle at the top is red print that reads "Vote / STRAIGHT / Republican. Blue and red text below that reads "in / WAYNE / COUNTY / IN YOUR STATE TOO! / Vote Straight Republican / STATE SENATORS / and LEGISLATORS / HELP GET IKE / THE MEN / HE'LL LIKE!"
