Postcard
Oversize color photographic postcard depicting an elevated view of Woodward Avenue, facing north from just below Campus Martius. In view are the Vinton Building, First National Building, Detroit Opera House, Hudson's, David Broderick Tower, and the construction site of the First Federal Building. Signs read "American Savings", "Sams", "Kern's", and "Bond".
Printed on verso: Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan. Running north from the Detroit River at the center of the city is the "Main Street" of Detroit. Though some of these buildings are being replaced with modern structures, one of the world's largest department stores, J. L. Hudson Company, is a landmark which will remain.
