Postcard

Black and white print size postcard depicting a drawing of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company Freight Office, with the downtown skyline in the background.
Printed on verso: The Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company Freight Office at the foot of Wayne Street is generally considered to be the oldest building in Detroit. Although it is difficult to agree on the date of the construction of this brick building, the simple block shape and restrained Greek Revival window ornament are characteristic of the second quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
Graphite Drawing by the Detroit artist, James E. Bellaimey (1908-1949)
