Postcard

Print sized postcard printed with a graphite drawing of the George O. Robinson House on Cass Avenue by James E. Bellaimey, from the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts. A description on the verso reads:

The George O. Robinson House, which formerly stood on the corner of Cass Avenue and Ledyard Street in Detroit, was designed in 1875. The architect, Henry T. Brush, has combined the forms of a bracketed Italian villa with cornices, columns, and a cupola of French inspiration. THese details ass to the elegance and create a play of light and shade greatly admired during the Seventies.
