Postcard

One postcard that depicts a color photographic image of the harbor and ship dock at Mackinac Island. The passenger steamship, SS South American, of the Chicago, Duluth and Georgian Bay Transit Company fleet can be seen at the dock in the foreground. Old Fort Mackinac can be seen on the hill in the background. Small blue printed text on the verso reads "Historic Mackinac Island, Michigan - Mackinac Island is a popular port of call of the Great Lakes cruise ship, SS South American. Fort Mackinac, directly above the harbor, has been restored by the State of Michigan as closely as possible to its appearance in the War of 1812."
