Postcard

One souvenir postcard from the June 6-16, 2024, re-opening celebration of the Michigan Central Railroad station. The event marked the successful completion of the 6-year restoration of the historic station by the Ford Motor Company. The postcard shows a color photographic image that depicts an elevated view of the west side of the 18-story station building after a rainstorm. The view looks eastward and shows treetops in a residential neighborhood in the lower foreground. The station is visible in the center background along with adjacent office/commercial buildings. Downtown buildings are visible in the far background at the left side of the image. In addition, a large rainbow can be seen overhead in the far background against a dark and stormy sky. A small white "MC" logo is printed in white text in the lower left corner of the postcard and the illegible signature of the photographer is printed in white text in the lower right corner. Small black printed text on the verso reads "Did you know ... Michigan Central sits on 30 acres of land, and fourteen of those acres will be outdoor public spaces." A QR code is also shown along with two website addresses.
