Postcard
One souvenir postcard from the June 6-16, 2024, re-opening celebration of the Michigan Central Railroad station. The event marked the successful completion of the 6-year restoration of the historic station by the Ford Motor Company. The postcard shows a color photographic image that depicts an interior view of the general waiting area at the start of restoration. Bright rays of sunshine are streaming through one of the station windows and show many piles of supplies and equipment on the floor in the dim interior. A small white "MC" logo is printed in white text in the lower left corner of the postcard and the illegible signature of the photographer is printed in white text in the lower right corner. Small black printed text on the verso reads "Did you know ... More than 650 window ornaments in the station were 3D scanned and printed by Ford, including the beautiful rosettes and filigree that adorn the large arch windows along the building's north, east, and west sides." A QR code is also shown along with two website addresses.
