Block House at Bob-Lo Island Park, Canada.

Color postcard depicting the block house on Bob-Lo Island. Printed on verso: Block House: Bob-lo Island PARK. This old historical land-mark was erected prior to the year 1835, and was used by the British soldiers during the rebellion 1837-38. The date of its construction is not definitely known, but it stands to-day as it stood in pioneer days. It is also said to have sheltered many slaves while making a perilous escape from bondage in the South to Canada. Photogelatine Engraving Co. Limited, Ottawa.
