A Breakfast Crisis in the Day Household
Postcard baring a lithograph entitled, "A Breakfast Crisis in the Day Household," from a lithograph by Don Freeman, depicting a scene from the play, "Life with Father." Father Day, clad in a pin-striped suit rises from the table with an angry expression on his face and his finger pointed at the table, as the rest of the people gathered recoil back in their seats. "America's most beloved comedy. This rollicking play by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, based on the sketches of Clarence Day and produced by Oscar Serlin, featuring Percy Waram and June Walker, returns to this city once more for a brief engagement." is printed on the verso. The card was previously housed inside the March 1, 1943 issue of ''The Playgoer: A Magazine for the Theatre," Volume 17, Number 21 (2008.004.197d), which contained a program for a performance of "Life With Father" at the Cass Theatre.
