One postcard of the Midtown Detroit cultural area. The postcard shows a color drawing that depicts an aerial view which looks northward along Woodward Avenue and shows the Detroit Public Library (left) and Detroit Institute of Arts (right). Trees and lawn areas are visible in the lower foreground. Small black printed text along the upper edge of the postcard reads "Detroit's Art Center, Detroit, Mich." Small blue printed text on the verso reads "Detroit's Art Center - Detroit's Institute of Arts is famed throughout the world for its many art treasures and arrangement of European, Asiatic and American art. With the public library and the newly completed Horace H. Rackham Memorial it is the center of the city's cultural and educational activities. The Art Center is in the Woodward and Putnam areas."
