The Heart of Detroit, Mich

Color postcard depicting a view of the downtown skyline from Campus Martius, facing southwest. In view are the Guardian Building, Buhl Building, Greater Penobscot Building, City Hall, and Dime Building.
Printed on verso: The Heart of Detroit. Campus Martius is the name of the square facing Detroit's City Hall. The old and the new has never been more clearly exemplified than in this picture of Detroit's old and sturdy City Hall Building in the heart of downtown Detroit and surrounded with the towering skyscrapers of the modern era. In the background among others may be seen the 47 storey [sic] Penobscot Building with its flaming beacon, the Dime Bank Building, the Bull Building and the Ford Building. Within a few blocks of this central point flows the majestic Detroit River, connecting the upper and lower lakes and carrying the commerce of two nations. Beyond the river lies Canada.
