Ludington Harbor

One postcard entitled "Ludington Harbor". The postcard shows a color aerial photographic image of Ludington Harbor with the city of Ludington depicted in the background. Two car ferries--the CITY OF MIDLAND 41, and either the PERE MARQUETTE 21 or PERE MARQUETTE 22--can be seen from an aerial side view docked in the Harbor. A caption on the verso reads:

Ludington Harbor as seen from the air shows the city of Ludington, Michigan and the C & O Car Ferry docks. The boats carry railroad cars, passengers and autos on scheduled trips the year around between Ludington and ports across Lake Michigan.

There is a postmark on the verso dated in 1980 as well as a stamp from the car ferry CITY OF MIDLAND 41. Photo credited to John Penrod.
