Printed on verso: Macomb's Monument. - On Washington Boulevard and Michigan Avenue, was unveiled in 1908 by the Michigan Society of United States Daughters of 1812, in commemoration of his distinguished services at the Battle of Plattsburg, September 11, 1814. General Alexander Macomb was also the first governor of Michigan.
