One postcard entitled "The Soo Locks Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan". The postcard shows a color photographic image of the freighter SIR THOMAS SHAUGHNESSY about the enter the MacArthur Lock, as taken from off its bow. A caption on the verso reads, "The SIR THOMAS SHAUGHNESSY, of Montreal, awaits her turn to lock through to Lake Superior. Here she is at Lake Huron water level, which is 22 ft. lower than Lake Superior." The photo is credited to Lucy Gridley and the date of 1962 is also printed on the verso next to the Hiawatha Card Company copyright.
