Steamers Juniata & Tionesta
One color postcard of the passenger steamships, JUNIATA 7 TIONESTA, of the Anchor Line. The postcard shows a port bow view of the two steamships which are moored side by side at the company dock in Detroit. Many spectators and passengers are standing on the dock in the foreground. A passenger terminal and office building can be seen in the right background. Small white printed text along the lower left edge of the postcard reads "Steamers Juniata & Tionesta." Small black printed text on the verso reads "Steamers Juniata and Tionesta are passenger and freight steamers, owned by the Anchor Line and ply annually between Buffalo and Duluth. The scene shown is an unusual one showing the vessels tied to the company's wharf in Detroit at the same time unloading and taking on freight and passengers."
