The scene pictured here is typical of a heavy fall of snow in Detroit, and shows one of the many streets to be found in this picturesque condition just as the street cleaning department had succeeded in making traffic possible. It costs the city thousands of dollars and requires the labor of hundreds of men to clean off the snow after a heavy storm.
