Color poster, "American Women on the Move," for the "First National Women's Conference / Sponsored by the United States Commission on the Observance of International Women's Year" in Houston, Texas, November 18-21, 1977. The poster shows a print of abstract paintings of women walking with their right arms raised. The poster was possibly given to Detroit City Councillor Maryann Mahaffey, and is signed by Patricia Hill Burnett ("in warm friendship"), Odessa Smith, Judi Robinson, Ella Bragg, Lorraine Beebe, Shirley Monson, Bernice Zilly, Victoria Barner, Grace Hampton, Pat Cuza Silea, Nancy Stewart, Sara Maria Costa, Jean L. King, Mary Aikey, Libby Maynard, Angelina Perry, Florence Edelbrock, Carleen Pedrotti, Ruth McNamee, Viola Peterson, Maria Velasquez ("Good Luck"), Holly Greer, Shirley Oczus, Connie Peabody, Mary Graves, Mary Saxon, Linda Murakishi ("you taught me something"), Sister Mary Aquinas Weber, and several others. "Maryann Mahaffey" is written in ink on the back of the poster.
