Concert of Colors

One advertisement poster for the 2019 Concert of Colors festival which took place at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center's Detroit Symphony Orchestra Courtyard, the Detroit Historical Museum, the Michigan Science Center, and the Scarab Club from July 10th to the 18th, 2019. The poster is printed in red, blue, and black ink on heavyweight white paper. It shows an image of red and blue concentric circles with a red Phoenix at the center, designed by artists Gary Grimshaw and Kristi Pesick. Red, black, and white text lists performers, events, and sponsors. The headlining performance is a Motown tribute from the Don Was Detroit All-Star Revue, which in addition to Was is listed as Martha Reeves, Mitch Ryder, the Velvelettes, Dennis Coffey, Melvin Davis, Ty Stone, Carolyn Crawford, Nadir Omowale, Kenny Watson, Kathy Kosins, and the Drinkard Sisters.
