Dally in the Alley

One advertisement poster for the "Dally in the Alley" art/street fair which took place in an alley that was located in the city block bounded by 2nd, 3rd, Forest, and Hancock Streets. The poster is printed in red ink on heavyweight yellow paper. It shows a sketch by Brian Taylor that depicts a trio of fashionably-dressed cats where one cat is playing an electric guitar and the other two are dancing. Red printed text at the bottom of the poster gives additional information about the fair, the names of scheduled entertainment acts, a location map, and a list of participating organizations. The listed performers are the Reel Happy String Band, the Layabouts, Bad Crunch, Ricardo Rodgers, B-Sharp, Sleep, Private Angst, Chris Schaefer, Lisette Chevalier, Pam Sisson, Expedition with Ralph Koziarski, and the Motor City Free Arts Group. Red printed text at the lower center edge of the poster reads "A North Cass Community Street Fair." The names of the poster designers, Gary Grimshaw and Brian Taylor, are shown in small red text near the lower right corner.
