Grand Army of the Republic and Its Supporters

1 - Poster entitled: "Grand Army of the Republic and Its Supporters", the multicolor poster shows black and white, head and shoulders photographic images of several Union Army generals and admirals as well as members of the Lincoln Cabinet, past commanders of the Sons of Veterans, and past presidents of the Loyal Woman's Relief Corps. Drawings of various medals and army insignia are shown along the perimeter of the poster as well as monuments and camp scenes. Small printed text along the lower border shows "Designed and copyrighted by R. W. Surby, late Quartermaster Sergt. of the Seventh Regt. Ills. Vet. Vol. Cav., and Chief of Scouts on the famous 'Grierson Raid' from LaGrange, Tenn., to Baton Rouge, La., April and May, 1863. (All rights reserved) Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1888 in the office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington, D.C., in compliance with the law." The poster was printed by "Globe Lithographing and Printing Co., Chicago."
