World War I poster entitled: "What Doth It Profit a Man?", the poster contains a large amount of black text on white paper. The text discusses the present tyranny of forced labor in Germany and the need for American working men to do his work in order to support the war effort and thereby push back against the "German slave drivers." Small printed text at the bottom center shows "Issued by the Conference Committee on National Preparedness; Henry A. Wise Wood, Chairman; Raymond B. Price, Treasurer; James E. Clark, Secretary; Metropolitan Life Building, One Madison Avenue, New York City."
