Power of Attorney
One power of attorney agreement, dated 19 June 1866, where Arouet Richmond, Benjamin B. Richmond, and Frederick H. A. Backus of Richmond & Backus of Detroit appointed "A. Lubnoth" of New York City to act a a lawful attorney on their behalf. All parties have signed their names at the end of the agreement in the presence of two witnesses, "R. C. Sm--h" and "E. V. C----" [both illegible]. An embossed "Seal of the Circuit Court of Wayne County, Michigan," is located near the lower left corner of the page.
