Black and white photographic print of a letter from the Packard Motor Car Co. to Mr. C.C. Pigman, dated 12/6/02. The heading on the stationary identifies Packard as the "Packard Motor Car Co., formerly Ohio Automobile Company." The letter reads as follows:

"Mr. C. C. Pigman,
Marshalltown, Ia.
Dear Sir,-
You have been referred to us as a first-class machine black smith and as we are in need of several good blacksmiths at the present time, we take the liberty to write you to find out if you are desirous of making any change. We can offer steady employment to the right parties and would be very glad to hear from you in regard to your ability and wages expected.
A prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.
