Print of an engraving based upon the John Mix Stanley painting "Unveiling the Conspiracy," depicting the alleged scene of the Native American woman Catharine, here depicted as young, informing Major Henry Gladwin of Pontiac's plot to take Detroit. The image is captioned, "Unveiling the Conspiracy,--Detroit 1763, From Painting by J.M. Stanley. Owned by Hon. Moses W. Field. The Squaw Catharine communicating to Major Gladwin the Conspiracy of Pontiac." The print appears to contain the signature, "KPW Del."
