Inauguration of the Centennial Observance in Detroit of the Civil War
Proclamation dated January 8, 1961, in which Mayor Miriani declares January 8, 1961 the Centennial Observance in Detroit of the Civil War, and that "the Civil War Centennial Committee of the City of Detroit shall be charged with calling the attention of all of our citizens to the significant events to be commemorated during the years 1961-1965." The document is signed by Mayor Miriani and sealed with the Mayor's Seal of the City of Detroit.
