Commemorative brochure on cardstock printed on the occasion of the David E. Heineman Recognition Program sponsored by the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan, Detroit Historical Museum and Detroit Historical Society. The ceremony was held on April 20, 1972 at the Detroit Historical Museum Round Hall.
The front cover features both a black and white reproduction of the flag of Detroit and a sketch of Heineman's original design. The inside features a reprinted letter from Heineman to Miss M. Burton and a list of events.
