Program booklet for the Authors' Luncheon, a Reception for Michigan Writers, held by the Detroit English Club on May 7 at the Book-Cadillac Hotel. The booklet contains brief biographies and a list of selected works for 15 authors: Dorothy Maywood Bird, Sid and Lucy Corbett, Mary Frances Doner, Isabella Holt Finnie, Barbara Fleury, H.C.L. Jackson, Florence Maple, Melba Marlett, Jay McCormick, Iola Fuller McCoy, Elizabeth Howard Mizner, William J. Richards, Allan Seager, and Lee Smits. The booklet is printed in dark blue on light blue paper and has an illustration of a view through a door into a room of well-dressed people having a meal on the cover. The cover also describes the event as the "closing meeting of the year 1948-1949."
