Half folded program for a concert by the Detroit Orchestra on March 12, 1944, under the direction of Karl Krueger, with annotations by Russel McLauchlin of the Detroit News. The concert was to be broadcast by WWJ, and was presented by Sam's Cut Rate, Incorporated. The two pieces to be performed--Kalinnikov's "Symphony No. 1 in G Minor," and Richard Strauss's symphonic poem, "Death and Transfiguration"-- are listed inside. The lyrics to the final stanza of "The Star Spangled Banner," are printed on the back. The program is printed in black on beige paper.
