One tax receipt, dated December 14, 1869, issued by the Wayne County Treasurer's Office in Detroit. It was printed in black text on white paper and indicated that Richmond & Backus Company paid $330.63 for county taxes on the "W [west] 24 ft., Lot 3, Sec. 1," as well as for "Merchandise," and the "E [east] 26 ft., Lot 3, Sec. 1." The receipt was signed by "Paul Gies, County Treasurer."
