One tax receipt, dated November, 1870, issued by the Wayne County Treasurer's Office in Detroit. It was printed in black text on white paper and indicated that Richmond & Backus Company paid $95.69 for state and county taxes on the "E [east] 26 ft., Lot 3, Sec. 1." The receipt was signed by "James Collins, D. [Deputy] County Treasurer."
