Annual Report of the Detroit Thrift Gardens for the Garden Year Ending Oct. 31, 1933

Annual report compiled through the cooperation of the Department of Public Welfare and the Detroit Thrift Garden Committee, consisting of 12 stapled pages plus a large detached fold-out containing instructions and a planting schedule. Contained within are a list of the members of the Department of Public Welfare and the Detroit Thrift Garden Committee, background on the program, information about supplies and expectations for gardeners, information about the 23 fields including a map, donors, budget, and the successes and shortcomings of the project. A small handwritten note, previously paper clipped to the page about the committee members contains a list of names likely provided as an addendum to the partially crossed-out list in the report.
