One report entitled, "I-96 Freeway, Planning and Route Location Planning Study - City of Detroit, 1964, Volume 2." The report has a plastic comb binding and a heavy paper cover that is printed in black and red text. The 42 interior pages are printed in black and green text on white paper and provide a detailed discussion of the proposed freeway route and design considerations. An Exhibits section includes approximately 20 pages of fold-out maps that show the proposed road alignments (horizontal and vertical), proposed pavement cross section details, adjacent land uses, and estimated traffic volumes for 1990. The study was prepared by the Interstate 96 Planning Committee with the U. S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Public Roads for the Michigan State Highway Department.
