Scrapbook

One scrapbook of miscellaneous items from the Michigan Military Academy that were collected by brothers, Harry and Percy Noble, while they were cadets at the Academy from 1889-1892. The hardcover scrapbook has a brown and gold-colored cover with a color drawing of a young woman on the front that is surrounded by decorative raised leaf and floral designs. The first page has a handwritten inscription in black ink that reads "Harry and Percy Noble, From Grandma Hurlbut, Christmas, 1883." (Presumably, the scrapbook was not used by the Noble brothers for several years until after they had entered the Michigan Military Academy.) It contains approximately 30 sheets of heavyweight white paper which have various programs, letters, notes, newspaper clippings, reports, and other ephemera that have been glued to one or both sides of the pages.
