General Knudsen's Address
Typewritten copy of General William S. Knudsen's address from the Detroit Automotive Golden Jubilee held in 1946. It is two pages long, the title underlined at the top of the front page. There is pencil handwriting along the sides of each page. The speech is stapled in the top left corner. In his speech, Knudsen expresses his thanks for being included in the festivities, and encourges civic pride among Detroits in opposition to a narrative that postwar Detroit is troubled.
