One ticket "Good For One Passage of Michigan State Ferries." The rectangular ticket is made of light pink paper and is printed in dark blue text. It shows a fare amount of "$2.50" for one passenger car and is dated April 23, 1955. Printed text indicates that "The Ferries Are Operated as a Governmental Function of the State Highway Department and Damage Claims Cannot Be Paid." Also, the ferries were "Operated By Michigan State Highway Department, Charles M. Ziegler, Commissioner." Additional printed text on the verso gives a rate schedule for passengers as well as for various vehicle types and sizes.
