Abstract of Title,
Lot 764, Leinbach-Humphrey's Woodward Avenue Subdivision

Abstract of Title prepared by Crawford & Crawford of Pontiac, Michigan, concerning "Leinbach-Humphrey's Woodward Avenue Subdivision." The subdivision is located in Sections 31 and 36 of Bloomfield Township, Oakland County. More particularly, it is located on each side of Woodward Avenue and is bounded by Clawson Road on the south, Madison Street on the west, Holland Avenue on the north, and Torry Street on the east. The document package consists of approximately 50 pages of typewritten and printed text which trace the chain of land ownership from John Power who purchased the land from the United States government in 1823. The abstract traces the property ownership transfers through the 1800's and early 1900's to various persons and companies. The subdivision plat was recorded in 1921. Several lots, including Lot 764, were acquired by the State of Michigan in 1938 due to unpaid taxes. A map of the subdivision is included. The pages are bound at the top with two brass fasteners.
