U-Matic

1994[sic] Det. Auto Show, 12-10-94, Tape 2

U-Matic S tape containing footage shot of cars and displays--primarily focused on foreign manufacturers--at the 1995 North American International Auto Show in Cobo Hall. The auto show footage was recorded over a video of a training session for Opcom Incorporated's Headstart child tracking database software, portions of which remains at the very beginning, during breaks in the auto show footage, and on the latter section of the tape.

The video features the Suzuki Swift, the Suzuki Esteem, the Suzuki X90, the Suzuki Sidekick JLX, the Toyota RAV4 (and its "European Model" variant), the Acura NSX-T, the Hyundai Gila concept, the Saab 900, the Lamborghini Diablo, the Mercedes-Benz SL500, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Audi Cabriolet, and a BMW 3-series coupe.

The final half of the tape contains part of a training session for Opcom Incorporated's Headstart program child tracking software. The camera cuts between a man explaining the software, the audience, and a monitor showing the software.

The video is on a 3M UCA-30S U-Matic S tape with "1994 Auto Show" handwritten on a City of Detroit Department of Public Information Video Production label. The tape is housed within a latching black plastic case with a matching spine label.
