Tape #2

U-Matic S tape containing silent footage shot for the city's Neighborhood Shopping Days of the interior of the McDonald's at Gratiot Avenue and 7 Mile Road, the Gratiot-Seven Mile marker, an interior of a men's wear store, and the interior of a business dealing in eyeglasses. The tape's labels list Gratiot and 7 Mile, and the Grand River Avenue and Greenfield Road areas, however it is not clear where the latter two store interiors were located.

The tape begins with several shots of a woman posing as if to eat a hamburger inside the McDonald's on the south western corner of Gratiot Avenue and 7 Mile Road.

After a cut filming resumes outside, adjacent to the McDonald's of the cylindrical Gratiot-Seven Mile marker bearing store directory for the shopping district.

The next three shots take place inside of a men's wear store. First, a woman is filmed speaking to a man behind the counter. Next, the man behind the counter poses for the camera. Finally, the woman returns for more footage of interaction between them.

The final segment on the tape takes place inside an optician's store. A woman and a girl interact across the counter with the store's employees.

The video is on a 3M MBU-18 U-Matic S tape with a handwritten 3M label on its top. The tape is housed in a black plastic latching case with matching labels on its cover and spine.
