U-Matic tape containing a pair of montages of shots showcasing attractions and events around the city both set to the smooth jazz song "Personality" by Najee. Some of the footage was taken from "Detroit Means Business."

The video opens with pixelated and posterized shots of the Renaissance Center and the Spirit of Detroit. Shots, sans digital effects, follow of the Monument to Joe Louis, restaurant signs (the River Bistro, Cafe Rio, Pegasus in the Fisher, and a neon sign advertising saganaki), signs for theaters (the Fisher Theatre, the Fox Theatre, and Music Hall), Chene Park, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Renaissance Center, Joe Louis Arena, a film crew on in Ford Auditorium, public art and vendors in Eastern Market, the Detroit People Mover, the STAR OF DETROIT, a bridge in a park, people on Belle Isle, a giraffe at the Detroit Zoo, people dancing on the fountain in front of the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Montreux-Detroit International Jazz Festival, people dining at a steak house, the LANSDOWNE, a waiter serving a table saganaki at Hellas, more restaurant signs (Joe Muer Sea Food, the London Chop House, and Coleman's Corner), the Detroit Citizen's Railway trolley, Greektown at night, the Ambassador Bridge at night, interior shots of Trappers Alley, two cooks at The Fudgery in Trappers Alley doing an elaborate handshake, an aerial shot of the riverfront, the interior of the Renaissance Center's atrium, cars and people at the Detroit Grand Prix, a hydroplane racing on the Detroit River, festivals in Hart Plaza, New Center Commons, Cobo Hall, Belle Isle, dancers in a parade on Woodward Avenue, people aboard one of the Boblo boats, the city's professional sports teams, an air show, an a cheer squad.

After a brief gap in the recording, the song restarts with footage from the 1988 Thanksgiving Day parade (2015.008.153), aerial shots of downtown and Lafayette Park, Washington Boulevard, the Renaissance Center, sites around Belle Isle (Scott Fountain, the Belle Isle Casino, a bridge over a canal, the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Central Avenue, the Belle Isle Zoo, and the Detroit Yacht Club), the Wayne County Building, the tunnel between the City-County Building and the Millender Center, an aerial shot of Tiger Stadium, the interior of the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, the interior of the Fox Theatre, an art gallery, and a plane taking off from City Airport. After the montage ends, the song continues to play for the rest of its duration.

The video is on a 3M UCA-10 U-Matic tape with a handwritten 3M label on its top. The label is marked "Detroit, Music: Personality by Nagee, Master, 9:30, M.C., March 10, 1989." The tape is housed in a black plastic latching U-Matic case with a City of Detroit Department of Public Information Video Production label on its cover.
