Flower Day @ Eastern Market, 5-19-91

U-Matic S tape containing silent footage shot at Eastern Market's Flower Day on May 19, 1991. The video begins with shots of shoppers, vendors, and an offering of flowers laid out in the parking lot beside and underneath Shed 6. The camera then moves to capture the crowds at Shed 4. Following brief shots inside of Shed 3, the next portion of the tape focuses Russell Street where food vendors and produce vendors are set up and people carry their purchases from the market Lemonade, barbecued chicken, shish kabob, hotdogs, strawberries, and corn are among the offerings being sold along the street. There are also views of activity along Adelaide Street from Russell. Next, the camera moves to Shed 2, here, dealers offer shrubbery in addition to flowers. The camera zooms in on a series of wagons used by shoppers to carry their purchases near the end of the tape.

The video is on a 3M UCS-30S U-Matic S tape with a handwritten City of Detroit Department of Public Information Video Production label on its top. The tape is housed within a black plastic latching case with a handwritten 3M label on its cover.
