U-Matic tape containing a pair of commercial spots promoting the 1984 Detroit Grand Prix and the Montreux-Detroit International Jazz Festival.

The Grand Prix commercial combines shots of the Detroit track, cars in a race, and a racer suiting up in front of the Renaissance Center. The commercials provides the event's dates, June 22, 23, 24, 1984.

The Montreux-Detroit International Jazz Festival commercial begins with a drum set, bass guitar, trombone, saxophone, and trumpet set up above a pool of water with a cut out of the city's skyline in the background. As the camera zooms into the background a silhouetted saxophone player appears.

The videos are a 3M UCA-5 U-Matic tape, with a typewritten Allied Video Services label on its top. The tape is housed withing a black plastic U-Matic case with a matching label in its label window.
